National Sports Council greenlighted to develop mechanisms to encourage sustainable financial support to uplift sports

By Zoila Palma Gonzalez: During cabinet’s meeting on Monday, cabinet approved the National Sports Council (NSC)’s decision to develop mechanisms to encourage sustainable financial support to uplift sports, aid athletes and maintain facilities that are being administered by the NSC.

The NSC will also set up a Cabinet Sub-Committee to explore further development of sports in Belize.

Other matters included a request for members of the Kosovo Security Force to conduct training along with the British Army Training Support Unit (BATSUB).

Cabinet gave its approval and requested that the Ministry of Defence and Border Security develop a Status of Forces Agreement.
