William Dawson Peace Cup: Fort George beat leaders Tut Bay 2-1, take over top spot

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Fort George FC are the new leaders of the William Dawson Peace Cup after displacing Tut Bay with a 2-1 win on Saturday at the MCC Grounds in Belize City.

Man of the Match Carlos Lino scored a brace to give Fort George the victory, nailing Tut Bay in the 13^th and 83^rd minutes.

Calvin Thurton scored for Tut Bay in the 77^th minute but the 1-1 draw was short-lived when Lino struck six minutes later.

Fort George now lead with 21 points, one more than Tut Bay.

Tut Bay, however, can regain first place on Sunday when they tackle Caesar Ridge FC in the third game of the day at 3:00 pm.

Before that, fourth-place Survivors take on last-place Sandhill Warriors at 11:00 am. Sandhill recorded their second win on Saturday as they beat  ninth-place Kelly Street 3-2.

Kelly Street will also be active on Sunday when they face third-place Lake I in the second game at 1:00 pm.
