Independence villager attacked and robbed for riffle

BBN Staff:  A man from Independence village, Modesto Bol, 65, reported to police that on Tuesday he was robbed at home by three men and his .22 Marlin rifle was stolen.

Bol reported that around 11:00 p.m., while at home he heard someone calling his name and when he got up to check, he was attacked by three men who attacked him and left him with injuries to the mouth.

The rifle is valued at $1,200.

Police are investigating.
