By BBN Staff: The Southern Regional Hospital (SRH) in Dangriga provides patients with primary and secondary medical care.

The Southern Workers Union is upset at two recent deaths at the hospital and held a protest yesterday. A town council employee and a young mother passed away while being interned at the Southern Regional Hospital.

The families were shocked at the deaths of their loved ones and claim negligence on the part of the medical team at the Southern Regional Hospital.

Today, some leaked photos from inside the Operating Room at the Southern Regional Hospital tell another compelling story.

Sources say that the equipment being used is outdated and ‘rusty’.

The operating room is also reportedly infested with termites.

Director of Health Services, Marvin Manzanero informed yesterday that the deaths will be investigated with an internal review.
