Political parties battle it out at village council elections

By BBN Staff: The final rounds of village council elections are underway in Bullet Tree, Georgeville, Ontario, and Santa Familia in the Cayo District.

The village of 7 Miles/ El Progresso endorsed a PUP slate since the UDP did not contest the election today.

Tensions are heightened between supporters of the PUP and UDP in Georgeville and Bullet Tree.

Prime Minister Dean Barrow and PUP Leader John Briceno arrived in the villages to show support for their respective slates.
