Corozal Town Councillors donate backpacks to 100 children

By BBN Staff: Two councilors from the Corozal Town Council donated 100 backpacks today to children from the district.

Councilors Hilberto Clarke and Dilan Cassanova teamed up with businesses and private benefactors to secure the backpacks, which also contained school supplies such as (pens, pencils, crayons, books, folders, and typing sheets.)

The councilors said that they spearheaded the initiative realizing that there were people in need within the municipality with limited resources. Clarke said that he aspires to help more children but was content with getting these 100 children their supplies just in time for the start of the new school year.
