Shakira White confirmed as second fatality in 6th Street shooting

By BBN Staff: BBN has confirmed that Shakira White, one of three people injured in a shooting tonight on 6th Street in Belize City, has now become the second fatality in the incident which also left a 4-year-old baby with gunshot injuries.

Phillip Leslie was also shot and killed in the incident. BBN understands that Leslie was visiting White, who was his girlfriend. White and the child had been rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for surgery but White reportedly passed away during surgery.

The child’s condition is currently unconfirmed. Details on this latest incident are still forthcoming.
