Police charge P.G. man for double murder

By BBN Staff: Police in Punta Gorda Town believe they have their man in last week’s double slaying at a bar.

27-year-old Kenner Gomez has been charged with the murders of Lawrence and Medardo Canelo and grievous harm to Aura Pacham stemming from the attack at Flash Bar and Cool Spot last Thursday night.

The uncle and nephew were tallying the day’s sales when someone knocked at the door. When Lawrence went to open it he and Medardo were met with a fusillade of bullets, one of which also injured Pacham.

The motive for the incident is believed to be personal rivalry.
