Belize City delivery men robbed of cash and cellphones

By BBN Staff: This morning two delivery men employed at Maria Chang Bakery were robbed at gunpoint on the south side of Belize City.

The two were making a delivery in the Jane Usher Boulevard area when two men, one of them armed with a gun, approached.

The men robbed them of $123.50 cash, which belonged to the bakery, a black bag with $50 cash, a pair of earbuds, and a cell phone with a combined value of $2,000.

The robbers also made off with several of the delivery mens’ personal documents. The incident was one of two mid-morning robberies that happened in the space of an hour.

Police are investigating.
