Thursday, July 09, 2015. BMG: Today’s weather outlook calls for relatively moist and unstable conditions to prevail as a tropical wave exits our area and another approaches.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize is predicting cloudy skies with a few showers and isolated thunderstorms mostly inland this afternoon. Some showers and a few thunderstorms will affect mainly Southern and Central areas over the course of tonight and tomorrow morning.

Winds will blow from East to Northeast at 10 to 20 knots with occasional higher gusts. The sea state will be moderate to rough and operators of small crafts should exercise caution.

High temperatures today are expected around 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 90 degrees Fahrenheit inland and a comfortable 77 degrees Fahrenheit up at the exposed areas of the Mountain Pine Ridge and along the Maya Mountains in the south.

A high tide is expected at 4:23 pm and a low tide this evening at 10:18 pm.

The Sun sets at 6:31pm.

The extended forecast until Saturday morning is for cloudy spells with isolated thunderstorms mainly inland and in the South Friday afternoon and night, then becoming isolated Saturday morning.
