Monday, May 18th, 2015. BMG: While a family in Roaring Creek Village in the Cayo District is mourning the death of one of their loved ones, Belmopan police are working tirelessly to put together the pieces that had led to the murder of 43 year old Roselia Galvez.

Around 6:05 pm, officials visited the Western Regional Hospital where they saw Galvez suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to her head.

According to Galvez’s 44 year old common law husband, he was driving his single cab pickup truck on the George Price Highway heading towards Roaring Creek Village along with other family members seated in the back of the pickup and that upon passing in front of the gate of Guanacaste National Park, an unidentified male person armed with what appeared to be a rifle, walked out of the bushes and fired two shots towards the vehicle hitting Roselia Galvez in the head.

The body of Galvez now awaits a post mortem examination.
