Diabetes and hypertension medication scarce in Belize

CEO in the Ministry of Health, Ramon Figueroa, has confirmed that there is in fact a national scarcity and shortage of medication.

He told the media that the scarcity stems from the ministry’s attempt to ensure that quality medication is provided to the country.

According to Figueroa, new contracts for pharmaceuticals will be signed shortly and the scarcity of medications will end.
