By BBN Staff: In light of the recent accusations of rape by a woman against Magistrate Norman Rodriquez, he will suffer the consequences in his pocket.
A statement issued today by Belize’s Judicial and Legal Services states that on May 10, Rodriguez was formally arrainged for a serious criminal offence in the Magistrate’s court in Belize City.
Rodriquez is a magistrate in the Belize Judicial District and currently assigned to the Stann Creek District.
According to the statement, in light of the charge that Rodriquez now faces, he is on interdiction with half pay effective Wednesday, May 10, 2017 until a further decision is advised by the commission.
The statement is signed by the Secretary of the Judicial and Legal Services Commission, Marcelino Choco.
