Authorities find shotgun near Sarstoon Island

By BBN Staff:Yesterday around 1 p.m., police along with members of the Belize Defence Force and Coast Guard were conducting a river patrol near the Sarstoon Island in southern Belize when they observed a red and white item on the bank of the river among the mangroves.

The item was a  20-gauge shotgun and it was hidden among the Mangroves root.

The shotgun was labelled as “found property”.
