More than $9000 in boat motors stolen from Progresso Lagoon

By BBN Staff: According to police reports, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 5:30 p.m., Linda Cabral, 65, of Progresso Village, Corozal District reported that sometime between Monday July 3rd, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday July 4th, 2017 at 4:00 p.m., someone stole a 9.9 out board motor engine Johnson brand valued at $7,000.00 from a 16-foot fibre glass skiff that she owns and an outboard engine valued at $1,200.00 which was on a 12-foot fibre glass skiff, all to a total value of $8,200.00.

Both skiffs were docked at Little Belize, Progresso Lagoon.

Police are investigating.
