Fatal hit and run near Cotton Tree

By BBN Staff: One man is dead following a hit and run accident which happened just before Cotton Tree village around 1:00 this morning on the George Price highway.

According to police, Oscar Cermenio was found on the highway alive but had sustained severe injuries including two broken legs, and trauma to the chest and head.

Cermenio was taken to the Western Regional Hospital for treatment but died as a result of his injuries at 5:15 this morning. An investigation into the matter continues.
