Man shot in foot in Belize City

BBN Staff: Yesterday around 5 pm, police responded to reports of shots being fired at the corner of Central American Boulevard and Cesar Ridge Road in Belize City. When they arrived, they saw a man with a gunshot wound to his foot.

The man was identified as Felicito Cho, 45.

Investigations revealed that Cho was inside a white tow truck along with his wife when they were approached by a man who opened the door and started to hit Cho with a stick.

Cho reportedly exited the vehicle to defend himself and was shot about 6 times in his left foot.

Cho was taken to the KHMH for medical treatment.

The suspect ran leaving his vehicle behind.

Quick police response resulted in the apprehension of Khaled Jamil and the recovery of the gun.

Police investigations continues.
