By BBN Staff: Yesterday morning around 11:54, police visited Bladden Village between miles 54 and 55 on the Southern Highway.
There, police saw a man lying on the side of the highway with head injuries and apparently dead.
Police saw a dark green car not too far from him.
Police investigation revealed that the man was crossing the road after getting off a scooter when he was hit by an incoming vehicle.
The man was identified as Guatemalan farmer,Jose Maas Cac,49.
The green vehicle was driven at the time by Elisabelia Gilhary, 33, of Indian Creek Village, Toledo.
The body of Cac was transported to Southern Regional Hospital Morgue.
Police investigation continues.
