The race kicks off at 5:50 a.m. from the BTL Park in Belize city, heads down toward Barrack road, onto Freetown, left at Central American Boulevard roundabout, down the boulevard and on to the George Price highway.
The grueling cross country race spans the length and breadth of the George Price highway. Due to construction work currently taking place in Santa Elena, arrangements have been made for the road to be cleared as the annual race makes its way through the twin towns.
Two-time defending champion, Guatemalan Alejandro Padilla Miranda, will not be competing in this year’s race. And as race day nears, many at home are hoping for a Belizean to claim this year’s cross country garland! BBN wishes all the riders in this year’s race good luck and may the best man win!
