Posted: Wednesday, June 20, 2018. 11:28 p.m. CST.

By BBN Staff:  Aspiring politician and teacher at Delile Academy, Denrick Walton, was beaten by a third form student from Ecumenical High School.

Walton today posted to Facebook that he was at his home in the Benguche Area of Dangriga town on Monday night when the incident transpired.

“That female entered my yard, broke my door, entered the house and hit me in the face with blocks…”

According to Walton, this is not the first time that this female has assaulted him.

He confessed to hitting her back.

“…but this time it was too far, all I did was defend myself in my own house,” he said.

Sources close to the student told BBN that her lips were burst and she had bruises all over her body.

According to Walton, he is consulting with his lawyer to lay charges on the student.

Walton made news months ago when he lost in a convention held by the People’s United Party (PUP) to select its municipal team for the March 7 town council elections.

Walton lost his bid to become a councilor but indicated he would continue working towards his political career.
