American retiree shot in home invasion dies

BBN Staff: An American retiree and victim of a home invasion in San Pedro last week died today.

Four culprits attacked him, gained entrance to his home and stole cash and 2 guns.

During the ordeal, Kirk was shot to the head.

He was flown to Belize city for further medical treatment then on Friday, Kirk was flown to the United States of America.

Police arrested and charged two men and a minor for the robbery and shooting of Kirk yesterday. Police are still looking for the fourth suspect.

It is expected that the charges will now be upgraded to murder.

The San Pedro Town Council and community have expressed their condolences to Kirk’s family.
