Belize city man shot while walking on Tibruce street

BBN Staff:  A Belize city man, Michael Tesecum, was shot last after 7:00 last night as he was walking along Tibruce street.

According to police, he was shot three times and was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH), where he remains in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

 Police have not been able to to get a statement from Tesecum due to his condition. Police have not yet established a motive.

Police, however, say Tesecum and some of his relatives may have been involved in an argument with several others. Police say they are following this angle.

Cops also recovered several .9mm expended shells from the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
