Police youth cadet camp commences

The camp will last for two weeks and will have participants from the Cayo and Belize Districts.
The Belize District participants will attend from July 23 to July 27 and the Cayo District group will attend from July 30 to August 3, 2018.
The objective of the summer camp is for youths to recognize agriculture as a vital career.The camp also serves as a means of keeping youths engaged in positive activities and reducing incidences of crime committed by youths.
The two-week summer camp will include visits to companies such as Quality Poultry, Western Dairies, and Bel Car in Spanish Lookout.
The participants will receive hands-on lessons in agriculture, horticulture, aquaculture, agro-processing, and livestock.
The last day of the camp will conclude with a “kid rodeo”, which will be held on August 4 at the National Agriculture and Trade Showgrounds in Belmopan.
A total of two hundred young people will participate in the summer camp.
