The sickout started last Wednesday and ended last Friday but two days ago the teachers received their letters of termination.
According to a representative from among the teachers, the cause for their protest was a new stipend system.
The school reportedly wanted to pay them on a quarterly basis rather than monthly.
Chairperson of the school, Lisel Alamilla, told the press that the school is not in a position to make payments monthly.
Instead, she informed that she indicated to teachers that the institution was only able to make payments every two months.
And so with teachers refusing to sign their contracts on the proposed changes, Alamilla opted to part ways, terminating the teachers.
The school is now looking for replacements, however, the teachers have complained that the decision was made unilaterally and unfairly. Classes have been suspended until Monday.
