Big changes in the hierarchy of the Belize Police Department

BBN Staff: Just a day after taking over as Commissioner of Police, Chester Williams has made some significant changes in the hierarchy of the Belize Police Department.

The big changes within the department have not been officially announced but a memo was leaked to BBN with the following changes:

Senior Superintendent of Police, Howell Gillett has a new post as the Head of Special Branch replacing Superintendent Marco Vidal. Vidal is now the Commander of Operations.

Gillett is being replaced with Superintendent Daniel Arzu at Eastern Division Region One.

The Eastern Division Regional Commander will Be Senior Superintendent of Police Alden Dawson.

Assistant Commissioner of Police, Robert Mariano is now Commander of Administration.

Deputy Commissioner of Police, Edward Broaster is now the Commander of Operations.

BBN will provide an update on this story when more information is available to us.
