Residents in San Jose Succotz concerned of discrepancies in water bills

BBN Staff: Numerous complaints from residents of San Jose Succotz have reached our newsroom suggesting discrepancies in the amount of consumption of their monthly water bills.

BBN notes that we have also been contacted by several people in San Ignacio and Santa Elena towns with the same concern, that there has been an unusual increase in their amount of consumption of water per month.

Residents note that from $20, their bills are now up to $300 and they fear that there may be a problem with the meters or with the person who reads the meters.

They are requesting assistance from the relevant authorities to investigate this matter since they cannot afford to pay the high water bills.
