Three detained for Tang’s Store robbery in Corozal

By BBN Staff: Police have detained three persons in connection with the Tang’s Grocery Store robbery that happened on Sunday night.

Police say that shortly before 8 p.m.on Sunday, July 7, two men, one described as “dark-skinned” and the other of “clear” complexion entered the store.

The dark-skinned robber, who was wearing a hooded jacket,  held a customer hostage while the other robber jumped across the counter and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and other items.

Police say that their investigations in an area of Corozal led them to the discovery of clothing believed to be that of the robbers. 

Two of the persons detained are reportedly from Corozal, while the third person is from a village nearby.
