By BBN Staff: The ruling United Democratic Party (UDP) issued a statement today claiming victory in the village council elections.
“The results show that after 11 years in office the majority of rural residents still have confidence in this administration and have seen development in their communities,” the UDP said.
The UDP’s statistics demonstrate that they won a total of 629 seats while the PUP won 625 seats and the Independent won 69 seats countrywide.
