Very warm conditions expected to run into the Easter weekend

Posted: Thursday, April 9, 2020. 9:17 am CST.

The National Meteorological Service of Belize’s latest weather report says that weather conditions will remain very warm and dry for today and are expected to run through the Easter weekend.

The 24-hour forecast says that skies will be mostly sunny today and partly cloudy tonight with no rainfall development expected.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 98 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 86 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 72 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 66 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

“Residents, especially those residing inland, are advised to stay hydrated and seek shelter from direct sunlight as much as possible. Also, continued dry and warm conditions maintain a high risk for brush and forest fires,” the Met Service said.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 5‐15 knots and the sea state will be light chop.

High tide will come in at 10:36 am. and low tide will occur at 5:34.

The sun will set at 6:07 p.m. and the moon will rise at 8:05 p.m.
