COVID-19 update: 22 new cases

By BBN Staff: Data from the Ministry of Health indicate that of the 256 tests processed on Sunday, 22 new cases of COVID-19 were detected.

The country has now registered 1,480 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The breakdown is as follows:

Corozal District –  4 (1 each in San Narciso, Xaibe, Ranchito, and from 1 from OW Town but swabbed in Corozal)

Orange Walk District – 6 (1 each in San Felipe, Douglas, San Jose Palmar, August Pine Ridge, Nuevo San Juan, and from 1 from Patchakan, Corozal but swabbed in Orange Walk)

Belize District –  4 (3 from Belize City, 1 from Armenia, Cayo but swabbed in the city) – PLEASE NOTE THAT THE INFOGRAPHIC is capturing all these 4 cases in San Pedro so that is being fixed now.

Cayo District – 8 (4 Santa Elena, 2 in Belmopan, 1 from San Ignacio, 1 Bullet Tree Falls)

Thirty-four more patients have recovered.

The Ministry of Health urges the public to adhere to all precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the virus.
