Man knocked down and killed in Toledo, perpetrator flees leaving vehicle behind

By BBN Staff: Police are searching for the owner of a pickup truck that was involved in a fatal road traffic accident in Toledo yesterday.

Reports are that sometime before 7:00 p.m. a pickup truck traveling  between Miles 7 and 8 on the Old San Antonio Road, in Jacinto Ville Village, knocked down Raymond Pop from off his bicycle.

The truck reportedly dragged Pop’s body 100 feet from the point of contact before it ended up on the side of the road, where the police found it.

Police say they located the pickup but that the occupants had fled the area. Investigations into the incident continue.
