Belize Met Service: Dry weather to continue – flood warnings still active in some areas

The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that mainly fair and dry weather conditions will continue today; however, there is still the possibility of flooding in some areas.

The 24-hour forecast calls for mostly sunny skies today and clear-partly cloudy skies tonight with little or no rainfall expected.

“A flood warning remains in effect for communities in the Belize District,” the Met Service said.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 89 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 72 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 66 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 62 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be light and variable and the sea state will be slight

High tide came in at 6:31 a.m. and low tide will begin at 1:00 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:17 p.m. and the moon will rise tomorrow at 3:11 a.m.
