Belize Met Service: Windy day ahead

The National Meteorological Service of Belize (Belize Met Service) says that a gusty east to southeasterly airflow will prevail over the country today, producing windy conditions.

The 24-hour forecast calls for sunny skies with cloudy spells today and partly cloudy skies tonight. Showers will be isolated.

Today’s temperature highs will range from 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 92 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 77 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills. Tonight’s temperature lows will range from 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, to 70 degrees Fahrenheit inland, and 64 degrees Fahrenheit in the hills.

Winds will be blowing East-Southeast between 15-25 knots and the sea state will be rough.

“A small craft warning is in effect for occasionally gusty winds and rough seas. Small crafts should remain in safe harbor,” the Met Service said.

High tide will come in at 11:00 a.m. and low tide will occur at 5:01 p.m.

The sun will set at 5:58 p.m. and the moon will rise at 7:35 p.m.
