By Aaron Humes: Belizean law enforcement has been inquiring into an aircraft abandoned six days ago at the Philip Goldson International Airport, Channel 7 News reports.

Two pilots brought the Cessna Citation 501 in on April 11, explaining that it had been purchased by a Central American national and was to be picked up.

There has been no movement since and authorities have grown suspicious, as the movement of suspicious aircraft as part of the drug trade is par for the course.

The flight had originated from Cancun, Mexico and the flight plan to Belize was approved.

Investigations continue.
