Teachers, parents and students adopted to new digital ways of learning and communication using Whatsapp and Google classroom among others.
The Ministry of Education has given the greenlight to 352 schools in Belize to re-open for face-to-face instruction.
The phased re-opening of classrooms include an application and an inspection by the Ministry of Education before the classes re-open.
Schools across the country have also implemented strict measures to keep their students and staff safe including temperature checking, hand washing and mandatory face masks.
The Ministry noted in a memo that the option for testing every teacher is not feasible at this time and that there are only 3 weeks remaining for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.
Teachers are encouraged to get vaccinated to protect themselves and their loves ones against COVID-19 since the full reopening of classes is scheduled for September.
