Opposition issues condemnation of death of Jessica Itch

By Aaron Humes: The Shadow Cabinet of the Opposition United Democratic Party has condemned the reported death of Jessica Itch over the weekend in the Belmopan area.

Itch died early Sunday morning, approximately 24 hours after allegedly being beaten up by her common-law partner and several women.

The party reiterates its condemnation of violence and specifically violence against women, saying, “We can never normalize these barbaric acts of violence against women.”

It asks that all in such situations and men especially seek help for anger control and conflict resolution to avoid such situations as this.

Police continue their investigations.
