Minister of Home Affairs Kareem Musa meets with specialized units at the Police Training Academy in Belmopan

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Minister of Home Affairs & New Growth Industries Kareem Musa met with police specialized units at the Police Training Academy in the capital Belmopan on Wednesday afternoon.

The meeting occurred during Minister Musa’s national familiarization tour of the police department. This afternoon in the capital, Musa met with the personnel of the Police Academy, Mobile Interdiction Team (MIT), Special Patrol Unit (SPU), Anti-Trafficking in Persons Council (ATIPS), Police Information Technology Unit (PITU), and Special Branch.

During his visit, Minister Musa was accompanied by the Commissioner of Police Chester Williams, Head Special Branch Senior Superintendent Sandra Bodden, all the Specialized Units Commanders, and their Deputies, COMPOL’s Staff Officer Superintendent Clement Cacho, President of the Belize Police Department Association Sergeant Jermaine Hyde, and other support staff.

As per protocol, Minister Musa inspected the guard, then he and his team had group meetings with all the police officers – one & one discussions with police officers who requested an audience.
