Belize Weather: Fair today, rain tonight and tomorrow

By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says fair skies this morning and afternoon will be replaced by greater precipitation tonight.

Skies start sunny with isolated showers or thunderstorms; later it will be cloudy with outbreaks of showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain especially along the coast.

High temperatures are 91 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 96 degrees inland, and 84 degrees in the hills. It will be 82 degrees along the coast, 75 inland, and 68 in the hills tonight.

Winds are from the east at 10 to 20 knots and the sea state is choppy.

Tides will be low at 1:55 this afternoon then high at 8:05 tonight. Sunset is at 5 minutes past six this evening with the return at 5:38 Friday morning.

Most of the country on Friday will be under cloudy to overcast skies with increasing showers and thunderstorms over most areas, especially on Friday night.
