Vaccinations continuing in Belize District in Belize City and villages this week

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Belize District vaccination continues in Belize City, Ladyville, San Pedro, and Caye Caulker, plus other villages, this week.

The Central Health Region in the Ministry of Health said its vaccination drive is on daily from Monday to Friday at Matron Roberts Polyclinic, the Swift Hall, Port Loyola Health Center, and the Central Health Region in Belize City, and the Caye Caulker Health Center from 8 am to 3 pm. On Friday, the Central Health Region will extend its vaccination schedule until 4 pm.

On Saturday, vaccination will continue in Belize City at the Central Health Region, the Matron Roberts Polyclinic, and the Fort George Resource Center from 8 am to 12 noon.

The Central Health Region is located behind the old Bliss Nursing Center in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital compound (access between Social Security Board and the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital off Princess Margret Drive or next to Social Security on St Joseph St).

In Belize City, vaccinations will also be held from 9 am to 11:30 am at Gwen Lizarraga High School on Wednesday, at Maud Williams High School on Thursday, and at Wesley College on Friday.

For the remainder of the week, the Belize District vaccinations are also ongoing at San Pedro, and Ladyville as well.

In San Pedro, vaccinations are being administered at the Lion’s Den on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:30 pm to 3 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 2 pm. Vaccines will also be administered in San Pedro on Thursday at the San Pedro High School Auditorium from 8:30 am to 11:30 am and at the San Pedro High School from 1:30 pm to 3 pm.

In Ladyville, vaccination against COVID-19 is on daily from Tuesday to Friday at the Ladyville Health Center from 8 am to 3 pm. Additionally, vaccines are being administered at the BDF Price Barracks on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 11 am.

This week vaccinations will also be held at Burrell Boom on Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm on Tuesday, and at Double Head Cabbage on Friday from 9 am to 11:30 am.
