Belize Weather: Another rainy day but improvement expected heading into weekend

By Aaron Humes: The National Meteorological Service says today will be sunny with cloudy spells. Showers and thunderstorms will develop mainly offshore and along the coast this morning and inland this afternoon. Tonight, skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy with showers or thunderstorms mainly along the coast.

Temperatures will reach 87 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 90 inland, and 78 up in the hills. Tonight temperatures will reach 76 degrees along the coast, 73 inland, and 66 in the hills.

Winds are easterly at 5 to 15 knots. Sea state is light chop.

High tide occurs at 11:32 a.m. and 11 p.m. and low tide at 5:08 p.m. Sunset is at 25 minutes to six and sunrise on Saturday is at 5:44 a.m.

Saturday will see partly cloudy skies with only isolated showers or thunderstorms.
