Port State Control Supervisor earns Masters degree

By Aaron Humes: The Belize Port Authority has issued public congratulations for one of its senior officers.

Port State Control Supervisor Darlin Gaitan has earned a Master’s degree in Maritime Management from the School of Graduate Studies at Memorial University, St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.

The Authority and Minister Rodwell Ferguson recognize her years of study and commitment to professional development, earning skills and knowledge necessary in her profession – the Management of operations in the maritime sector and advancement of the Authority.

No word on whether she gets a raise, but she does get a bravo after working for the Authority since 2009.
