By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The United States Embassy and the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) will honour three Belizean entrepreneurs on January 7, 2022, at Entrepreneurship Fest 2021 closing ceremony.

“Following a business pitch competition between the 30 selected participants, three participants representing each of three districts have been selected by the U.S. Embassy and BELTRAIDE to be specially honored at the January 7th closing ceremony at the U.S. Ambassador’s Residence,” said a press release by the US Embassy on Wednesday.

According to the US Embassy, 30 small business owners from the Belize, Stann Creek, and Orange Walk Districts were selected from a series of workshops the US Embassy and BELTRAIDE hosted at the US Embassy in Belmopan.

At the workshops, the participants were provided with training and best practices so they would be able to overcome challenges in expanding their businesses.

The US Embassy said the closing ceremony will feature remarks by US Embassy Chargé d’Affaires Leyla Moses One, BELTRAIDE Executive Director Dr Leroy Almendarez, and the three winners of the initiative business-pitch competition.
