Personnel from the Ministry of Agriculture’s Cooperative Department visited cooperative farms in the San Antonio area of the Cayo District on Thursday.
“We are visiting in San Antonio and San José Succotz in the Cayo District, cooperatives or groups that are producing various crops,” said Luis Pook, Communications Director at the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise (MAFSE).
“They’re growing a variety of products, they’re growing carrots, they’re growing cabbages, they’re growing some sweet pepper, they’re growing jalapeños, they’re growing lettuce and they’re growing some in the open field.”
Pook said MAFSE does these visits, like the one to Sayab and other farms in San Antonio, regularly.
