Stig Da Artist new release with Afrobeats star Davido promoted on the Wendy Williams Show

By Rubén Morales Iglesias: During the Shyne Barrow interview on the Wendy Williams Show, Wendy promoted Belizean singer Stig Da Artist’s latest release.

“Check out the new song…Yes, the new song. It’s called ‘Leader’ with Stig Da Artist featuring DJ Khaled and Davido,” Wendy said.

In an interview with News 5, Stig Da Artist said that Shyne has come through bigtime for him, first with the signing by Universal Music Group and now with the DJ Khaled and Davido featuring in his production.

“Shyne had reached out to us months back saying he was going to link me with Davido to do a collab. He delivered,” said Stig Da Artist.

“Months ago, I had the Davido vocals come in and he said, Yow, I made Khaled hear the song when I was in Miami and Khaled wants to be a part of the project and obviously, I got excited, but we wanted to hear it, we wanted to see it for ourselves so that we could truly know. And so said, so done.”

“Belize to the world! The DJ Khaled vocals are in. Shyne you delivered!!!” Stig Da Artist posted on social media on January 29.

Stig Da Artist said the song is based on a personal experience.

“The concept of the song is me, I’m intoxicated and I’m saying like ‘I miss this gial but as much as I miss ah, if she no call me first, ah no di call back neither, cause I no follow back a nobady. But I wahn call ah bad cause I love ah.’”

Stig Da Artist said he wrote the song in 2018 and that his goal is to shoot the video in Belize because he wants to promote Belize.

“We want to put Belize on the map. We want to make the Belizean people proud,” he said.
