Police officer hurt in motorcycle accident

By Aaron Humes: The infamous Mameyal Curve on the Philip Goldson Highway is the scene of another accident injuring a person, this time a police officer.

Mario Chin, a resident in Trial Farm, Orange Walk, was driving his grey Meilun motorcycle from San Roman village and at the junction with the highway, police say, he lost control and ended up on the other side of the road.

Officer Chin sustained injuries including a large cut on the right side of his face and a wound to the forehead and complained of pain in the body.

He is hospitalized at the Northern Regional Hospital as investigations continue.
