Belize Weather: Feeling hot, hot, hot

Seasonally warm and dry weather prevails according to the National Meteorological Service.

Skies today will be sunny with a few cloudy spells and tonight clear to partly cloudy with no rainfall expected.

Temperatures will be hot: 91 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 98 degrees in the interior and 94 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 74 degrees inland and 67 degrees in the hills. A heat alert is in effect and residents, especially in inland areas, are encouraged to avoid outdoor daytime activity and stay hydrated.

Winds are easterly to southeasterly at five to 15 knots and sea state is moderate, with waves of four to six feet.

Tides will be high at 12:33 this afternoon and low at 8:26 tonight. The sun sets at 6:07 this evening and rises at 5:43 Thursday morning.

Continuing fair and warm weather with little to no rainfall is projected for Thursday.
