By BBN Staff: A 33-year-old taxi driver from Benque Viejo is out on bail after he was charged for assisting two Guatemalans in violating Belize’s immigration laws.
Rony Josias Quixchan, appeared unrepresented in court on Friday, charged with a single count of facilitating the commission of an offense.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was offered bail in the sum of $1,500.
Allegations are that on April 20, he transported Delicia Del Carmen Quixchan Che and Elena Faustina Quixchan Chan from Benque Viejo Town to Hattieville.
He is due back in court on May 20.
