The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies with some showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain over most areas this morning, decreasing this afternoon; tonight, there will be cloudy skies at times with a few showers, thunderstorms, and periods of rain mainly over southern and coastal areas.
High temperatures are 86 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 88 degrees in inland areas and 78 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures are 79 degrees along the coast, 73 degrees inland and 68 degrees in the hills.
Winds are easterly at five to 15 knots and gusty. The sea will range from light chop to rough with waves of two to seven feet.
A small craft caution is in effect for gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers or thunderstorms; a flood watch remains in effect for the possibility of localized flooding over low-lying and flood-prone areas across the country.
Tides will be high at 8:17 this morning and 9:44 this evening and low at 3:34 this afternoon. Sunset occurs at 6:22 this evening and sunrise on Sunday is at 5:17.
For Sunday and Sunday night, expect cloudy to overcast skies with some showers, thunderstorms and periods of rain over most areas.
