Man’s Toyota Hilux pickup truck stolen during an armed home invasion

By Benjamin Flowers: A 59-year-old man was the victim of a home invasion this week, and was robbed of several items including his Toyota Hilux pickup truck.

The victim told police that on Monday, around 9:50 p.m. he was inside his home when three men barged in, one of them pointing a gun at his head.

The men demanded the keys to his 2007, silver Hilux, and also took personal items to a total value of $850.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing. Last year, police put out a warning to the owners of Hilux vehicles, after several similar incidents occurred.

Back in May, Belizean authorities collaborated with law enforcement in Guatemala to recover a Hilux that was stolen from Belize.
