BREAKING: Troy Banner charged with grievous harm in injury to newborn

By Aaron Humes: Camalote resident Troy Banner has been charged with grievous harm for injury to a newborn child of 15 days.

The child sustained an injury by unknown means on Saturday and was treated at the Western Regional Hospital and Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital before being released in good condition.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Alfonso Aban, Officer Commanding Crimes Investigations Branch, indicated that he was not personally aware of an effort to re-open a prior investigation into an incident from several years ago. But he stated that police will look into what appears to be a pattern of behavior by the accused leading up to the current incident.

Banner is expected to appear in court either this afternoon or Tuesday morning.
